Welcome to the spring term in Year 6! We are so proud of the progress being made by the children so far and we look forward to this continuing between now and Easter.
The topics for this term are shown in the Curriculum Overviews (which are linked further down on this page). Please be aware that we will also be including some Booster sessions in the key areas of Reading, Grammar and Maths in this final term before the pupils sit their SATs tests in May.
We hope that your child will continue to make the most of all the opportunities and expertise that come their way for the remainder of this crucial year.
We thank you for your ongoing support. If you require any further information, please contact us via Class Dojo and we will be able to point you in the right direction.

This term, our English work is based around a short film called ‘The Alchemist’s Letter’ and the book entitled ‘The Invisible’ by Tom Percival.
The short film tells of the invention of an extremely unusual machine, which eventually leads us to consider a serious moral question.
‘The Invisible’ is a short story that helps us to think about the links between individuals and the community around them.
In addition, we will also be reading ‘Murder in Velvet’ by Sarah Wynne. We are very lucky that she will be visiting the school on World Book Day later in the term.
