   For the Autumn term, Year 3 are reading The Stolen Spear by Saviour Pirotta.

   We encourage children to read other books written by Saviour Pirotta. 

   Some of our English lessons will be based on looking at extracts from The Stolen Spear. 

PE Day(s) -

3SW - Monday and Thursday 

3PL - Monday and Friday 

All children are expected to wear correct PE kit: Plain white T-shirt, Plain black shorts/leggings. Children will be expected to wear their school jumpers on PE days. Thank you in advance for your support with ensuring that your child is in the correct kit.

Homework

We do expect all of the pupils to complete homework set by school. As part of your child’s weekly homework we ask that you:

• Read with your child. This is a vital part of your child’s reading development. Please spend some time discussing your child’s reading and asking questions. All reading must be recorded in your child’s reading record.
• Spellings – Children will be given spellings every Friday and will be tested the following Friday. 
• Homework Menu – Your child will have a “menu” style homework sheet stuck into their homework book. Please choose one task to complete weekly.
• TT Rockstars - Children should be developing their times table skills every day.
