Our focus author for the Summer Term is Joseph Coelho.

We will be reading lots of different stories by him in story time.

Our English lessons will focus on Fantastic Mr.Fox by Roald Dahl.

PE Day(s) - Monday

All children are expected to wear correct PE kit: Plain white T-shirt, Plain black shorts/leggings. Children will be expected to wear their school jumpers on PE days. Thank you in advance for your support with ensuring that your child is in the correct kit.

Homework

We do expect all of the pupils to complete homework set by school. As part of your child’s weekly homework we ask that you:

• Read with your child. This is a vital part of your child’s reading development. Please spend some time discussing your child’s reading and asking questions. All reading must be recorded in your child’s reading record.
• Spellings – The Year 2 common exception words are stuck into your child’s homework book. These are the words they need to be able to read and spell correctly. Please practise these.
• Homework Menu – Your child will have a “menu” style homework sheet stuck into their homework book. Please choose one task to complete weekly. Books will be given out on a Friday and handed back in on Tuesday.
